Take the time to learn about the history of New Braunfels and Gruene, pronounced “green,” just like the color. You won’t be disappointed.

History
Founded in 1845 by German craftsmen and farmers, the whole area is rich in history with many landmarks and includes Gruene, (pronounced “green” as in the color green), and it’s historic dancehall. You can’t miss the numerous German names and historic structures, including old homes and stores, all which lend old town charm to this great location.
Historic Downtown New Braunfels, home to the Main Plaza, The Fountain, (built in 1895 marking the 50th anniversary of the city), and the Comal County Courthouse is one of the most visited historical attractions in the Texas Hill Country.

Water Fun
Located at the mouth of the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers, not only are there many beautiful homesites along the Guadalupe, but a lot of fun water activities to enjoy as well. Tubing and water rafting are a great way to beat the heat and enjoy the hot, lazy days of summer. Schlitterbahn is the ultimate place for the whole family to have fun.

Meyer Ranch – Check often on inventory and dates re new home builds.
Solms Landing – Initially this community was supposed to have 60 single-family homes, farm-house style, but more recently, (as of September 2021), will also include 117 two-bedroom cottages ranging anywhere from 875 – 1,379 sq. ft¹. Lawn maintenance will be included with community fees. One thing that makes this community different, especially in New Braunfels, is the allowance of short-term rentals. Community members will also have access to an indoors farmer’s market and office building.
Vintage Oaks – This community is largely sold out, however, with boots on the ground, there may be some homes under construction and lots available. In our crazy market, this changes daily, so be sure to contact me.
Yes, there are other communities in New Braunfels. Please reach out to me as our inventory is very low.
