Guadalupe River in NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas

Cibolo is part of the San Antonio/New Braunfels metro area. It’s known as a family-friendly location with lower than average crime rates and an ever-growing population. The word “Cibolo” means buffalo. Before European settlers arrived, the Comanche and several other Native American tribes lived in the area. When the US Post Office opened a branch in 1883, they called it “Cibolo.”

Cibolo is located in both western Guadalupe County, (on the north side of Cibolo creek), and Bexar County, (pronounced “bear” just like the animal, for those who aren’t from around here). There are pre-owned and new homes available in Cibolo.

Located in Cibolo, there are two homebuilders in this community; Chesmar and Highland. The lots in this community aren’t super large; around .25 acres.
